Would you like to join our army of volunteers? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Our charity was founded by local volunteers who were passionate about our community’s wellbeing.
Volunteering has always been at the heart of what we do because we know that it makes a real difference to our community. It brings people together, creates new and lasting friendships, volunteers gain skills and experience as well as the knowledge that they have used their spare time to help others.
So, whether you are retired, on furlough, working towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award, working part-time or looking to get back into work, here are just a few of the volunteer roles on offer:
- Volunteer Drivers – transporting local residents to and from appointments and providing assistance to those with poor mobility. Requires own roadworthy vehicle.
- Charity Shop Volunteers – welcoming customers, answering queries, cash handling and till operation.
- Repair Café – assisting in repairing items brought in by the general public in exchange for a donation to Estuary.
- Office Support Volunteers– answering telephones, dealing with queries, taking messages and other ad hoc admin tasks. Requires basic computer knowledge.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call 01392 879009 today and ask to speak to Caron, our Volunteer Coordinator.
